Roots in Spiritism & the spiritual world
Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, Jose grew up in a family that practiced Spiritism — witnessing firsthand a profound connection to realms beyond the physical. This early immersion in the spiritual world laid the foundation for a lifelong journey of introspection and a deep curiosity about the mysteries of human existence.
From church stages to world tours with Menudo
In his teenage years, Jose discovered a deep passion for music — beginning by singing at church, which opened the door to joining the iconic Latin music group Menudo, touring the world. He later became part of Treo, a Latin musical group that earned a nomination for a Latin Grammy Award.
Healing the wounds the industry left behind
While music brought incredible experiences, it also brought the challenges of an often-unhealthy industry culture. This prompted a deeply personal journey of healing and self-discovery — addressing old wounds, rediscovering creativity, and completing a first solo musical album. This transformative process revealed the profound importance of inner healing and seeking spiritual direction beyond conventional therapy.
Finding Introspective Hypnosis
The search for deeper answers led to the groundbreaking work of Antonio Sangio and the regressive hypnosis methods of Aurelio Mejía. Inspired by their ability to help clients navigate their subconscious minds and heal deeply rooted traumas, It was clear this was a path that resonated at soul level. After experiencing a life-changing session with Antonio Sangio, the commitment to learn and master Introspective Hypnosis was born — to help others find the answers and healing they seek.

A Reiki certification followed, deepening the understanding of energy healing and expanding the toolkit for guiding clients toward balance and well-being.

The Introspective Hypnosis certification was proudly earned under Antonio Sangio's guidance — completing the journey from student to certified practitioner, and Soul In Progress was founded to bring this powerful healing method to clients across Griffin, Atlanta, Spalding County, and the world.
